Princeton HealthCare System is comprised of University Medical Center at
Princeton (UMCP), Princeton House Behavioral Health, Princeton Rehabilitation
Services, Merwick Care Center, Princeton HomeCare Services, University Medical
Center at Princeton Surgical Center, Princeton Fitness & Wellness Center
and Princeton HealthCare System Foundation. Commitment to the community is
exemplified through the Community Education and Outreach program, which strives
to extend our services through seminars and screening at little or no cost.


Founded
in 1919, UMCP is a 308-bed acute care hospital. UMCP is a University Hospital
Affiliate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert
Wood Johnson Medical School , as well as a Clinical Research Affiliate of The
Cancer Institute of New Jersey. It is also a member of the Association of
American Medical College’s Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems.
Numerous clinical programs are available at UMCP.

Inpatient,
partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs are offered at
Princeton House Behavioral Health for patients with a variety of behavioral
health conditions, emotional difficulties and addictions. Meeting the needs of
adults, adolescents, women and seniors is emphasized in this facility. There
are locations throughout New Jersey including Princeton , Cherry Hill , New
Brunswick and Hamilton .

Both the University Medical Center at Princeton Acute Rehabilitation Unit and
Outpatient Rehabilitation Network comprise Princeton Rehabilitation Services.
The Acute Rehabilitation Unit aids patients who are recovering from strokes,
craniotomies, neurological conditions, complex joint replacements (hip and
knee) and amputations. Outpatient Rehabilitation gives physical, occupational
and speech therapy for both children and adults.
The University Medical Center at Princeton Acute Rehabilitation Unit has been
accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and
is the only CARF accredited facility in Mercer County, New Jersey.
Merwick is composed of two separate units: Transitional Care Unit and Long-Term
Care Unit. Transitional Care’s purpose is in helping patients in the transition
from hospital to home. Long-Term Care helps those who can no longer stay in
their homes.
Princeton HomeCare Services offers home medical care for individuals recovering
from surgery or coping with a chronic condition who reside in Mercer,
Middlesex, Somerset and Hunterdon counties. Various services are available to
patients and their families. Programs include Lifeline, an emergency response
system, Princeton Caregivers, which offers extended care, and the Hospice
Program.
It is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare
Organizations.
University Medical Center at Princeton Surgical Center provides ambulatory
surgery to patients in four state-of-the-art operating rooms and minor
procedures room. As the first surgery center in Mercer County, the center
offers advanced and minimally invasive surgical procedures. Pain management is
another service within the Surgical Center.

Princeton
Fitness & Wellness Center, a 50,000 square foot facility, is a
comprehensive community resource offering the latest fitness equipment, group
exercise classes and fitness pools. Luxurious spa services and on-site
childcare are also available. Exercise physiologists, certified fitness
instructors and nurses all provide personalized attention to members by
offering nutritional counseling, personal training and other services.
Princeton HealthCare System Foundation encourages philanthropic support from a
range of charitable sources, including annual gifts, capital project funds,
