Since its inception in 1991, Devon Health has had strong relationships with the healthcare community and its local community. Through Devon Cares, the company's philanthropic arm, Devon Health has participated in a number of charity events in and around our footprint in southeast Pennsylvania.

Devon Cares gives employees a medium to give back to their communities. Under the leadership of the assistant vice president of operations, Gayla Sexton, Devon Cares builds upon traditional fundraising models and develops new ways to raise money for charity. Employee car washes, specialty lunch sales, quarterly auctions for various prizes, Money Wars, and Pay Day Raffles are some of the campaigns that help Devon Cares contribute to deserving charities in the region.
Each year we donate time, money, and supplies to the American Cancer Society, local charities that sponsor holiday toy drives, Best Nest, Inc. (an organization that assists families with HIV), local Back-To-School book and school supply drives, winter coat drives, and many other local and regional charities.

Devon Scholars Scholarship Contest
The Devon Scholars program was designed to encourage education in health-related studies and equip individuals with the necessary knowledge to be indispensable parts of the healthcare industry. Devon Health is committed to making a difference in the healthcare industry, and has had great success with the Devon Scholars program.
The Devon Scholars Scholarship contest is held each year and three winners are awarded scholarships. The contest is based on applicants' grades, community involvement, extracurricular activities, personal and professional references, financial need, and an essay.
