2008 Devon Scholarship Contest Underway!
We invite high school seniors from across the country interested in pursing health-related studies to participate in our 4th annual Devon Scholars Scholarship Contest.
Devon Health awards scholarships to three high school seniors. First prize is $2,500, second prize is $1,000, and third prize is $500. Specified amounts are given to the winners' university or college of choice in the form of tuition payment.
The contest is based on applicants' grades, community involvement, extracurricular activities, personal and professional references, financial need, and an essay.

After a long and difficult selection process, the Devon Scholars Scholarship Committee has selected the winers of the 2007 Scholarship Contest!
The 1st place winner is: Alyssa L. Tousignant from Oakdale, Pennsylvania
The 2nd place winner is: Kaitlin M. Keller from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
The 3rd place winner is: Christopher M. Mondie of Barnegat, New Jersey
Devon Health would like to thank over 300 applicants who competed for the Devon Scholars scholarship. Students from across the country told us their stories and sent us their academic, athletic, and community achievements.
The Devon Scholars program was designed to encourage education in health-related studies and equip individuals with the necessary knowledge to be indispensable parts of the healthcare industry. Devon Health is committed to making a difference in the healthcare industry, and is looking forward to continuing the Devon Scholars program for years to come.

Devon Scholars 2006 Winners:
1st Place
Strath Haven High School senior Janell Dyitt, from Media, Pennsylvania, won Devon Health’s 2nd Annual Devon Scholars Scholarship Contest. Ms. Dyitt won $2,500 and will attend Davidson College in North Carolina to study pre-med. She aspires to attend medical school and practice surgery or emergency medicine. “It’s incredible to win this contest,” says Ms. Dyitt. “This scholarship will go a long way to help me succeed at Davidson and achieve my goal of becoming a doctor.” In addition to receiving excellent grades at Strath Haven, Ms. Dyitt was extremely active outside of the classroom, playing vital roles in the Class Congress, Student Council, and Diversity Trainers. She also worked on a Relay-For-Life Committee to benefit the American Cancer Society.
Devon Scholars 2005 Winners:
1st Place
Rishel Balbas, 18, of Voorhees, New Jersey, was the 1st place winner, earning $2,500. The Eastern Regional High School senior will attend Rutgers University at Camden in the fall and study Nursing. “I am extremely happy to have won this contest, for personal and financial reasons,” says Balbas. In addition to excelling in academics and various extracurricular activities, she has been successful in a full-time position – being a mother to her 20-month old son, Lorenzo.
