DEVON HEALTH PRESIDENT ELECTED TO AAPPO’S BOARD
King of Prussia, PA—March 21, 2006—Devon Health Services, Inc.,
a National Cost Management Company and the Northeast’s most extensive Preferred
Provider Organization (PPO), is pleased to announce the election of its
president, Charles Falcone, to the American Association of Preferred Provider
Organization’s (AAPPO) Board of Directors.
The AAPPO is the leading national association of PPOs and affiliate
organizations. The group effectively leads industry initiatives that improve
access to healthcare by responding to needs of the 148 million consumers
enrolled in PPOs. The Association’s mission is to advance and promote the PPO
value proposition by providing public policy services, the implementation of
PPO best practices, and education for healthcare professionals.
“I am pleased to welcome Charles Falcone as a new member of the AAPPO board,”
says Karen Greenrose, president of AAPPO. “Mr. Falcone will have the
opportunity to provide both leadership and vision in support of the
Association’s mission to advance and promote the PPO value proposition.”
Members of the AAPPO Board of Directors serve a three-year term. Board members
play an active part in helping the Association facilitate further education and
understanding of the PPO industry, structuring PPO business concerns, and
improving healthcare access for all Americans.
Background on AAPPO
The American Association of Preferred Provider Organizations (AAPPO) is the
leading national association of Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs) and
affiliate organizations, and was established in 1983 to advance the awareness
of the benefits – greater access, choice and flexibility – that PPOs bring to
American healthcare. AAPPO is the only association advocating solely on behalf
of PPOs and their high-quality, certified provider networks. PPOs put control
for medical decisions in the hands of the physician and patient, resulting in
easy access to the right care, provided by the right doctor, at the right time.
AAPPO provides its members valuable benefits in the public policy,
communications, education and marketing arenas. Visit
